Unique Recycling Idea – Recycled Wine

Posted on Friday, March 25, 2011 in Recycling ideas

Chefs in the United States have come up with recycling ideas to take care of the leftover wine in their restaurants. Russell Moore, chef and owner of the Camino restaurant in Oakland, uses leftover wine to make his own red wine vinegar and has recently added to his wine recycling ideas by making white wine vinegar as well. This recycling idea has proved quite thrifty as Russell hasn't bought a bottle of vinegar for his restaurant since it opened three years ago. Chef Cesare Casella from Salumeria Rossi, New York City has his own unique recycling idea that he uses, the chef uses leftover wine to make marinades for dishes like pork loin or lamb shanks. Clark Frasier from Arrows Restaurant, Maine uses his individual wine recycling ideas and creates granitas and sorbets from leftover Champagne, Riesling and sweet wines.

Importance of Synergy Renewable Energy Despite Recent Trends

Using renewable energy should be of interest to people who are active recyclers. The use of renewable energy services such as Synergy Renewable Energy remains highly important for the environment in spite of recent trends. According to a recent report, the tide has turned against renewable energy projects. There are several reasons behind this shift which are interlinked, including the state of the global economy, government finances, difficulties in funding, and regulatory uncertainty. Prior to the financial crisis in 2008, renewable energy projects were being avidly pursued by governments across Europe, the US and China. Wind farms and solar power grids, for example, were seen as 'green gold', especially in the face of the record high oil prices the world faced pre-crisis. But things changed very quickly as credit lines tightened and have remained that way for three years. There has been ongoing consolidation in the sector during this time through increased mergers and acquisitions. The crisis left many government balance sheets in bad shape, and this has led to reduced tax and regulatory incentives for the development of renewable energy projects.

Brighthub.com has some tips and home recycling ideas for homeowners this year. The first step is to identify which items are recyclable. A recycling idea for the home is setting up a home recycling center.
A home recycling center consists of separate bins that are used for different recyclable products. Another interesting home recycling idea is to make a compost pile in the garden with 50 percent carbon rich materials like dried leaves and dirt and 50 percent nutrient rich materials like vegetable peels and grass. Using a compost toilet is a unique home recycling idea wherein one can save a lot of water by mixing human waste with a substrate like peat moss to make fertilizer for the garden.
